This Refund & Delivery Policy explains how ItemFort handles digital item delivery, failed trades, refunds, cancellations, payment disputes, and Steam-related issues.
1. General Rule
ItemFort sells digital Virtual Items that are delivered through Steam trade functionality or other supported digital delivery tools.
Because Virtual Items are digital content delivered immediately or near-immediately after purchase, all completed sales are generally final once delivery is confirmed.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless law or the processor requires otherwise. ItemFort does not offer a withdrawable cash wallet. If closed-loop Store Balance is enabled, any policy credit to Store Balance remains usable only for purchases from ItemFort and is not a cash-out.
2. Delivery Process
After successful payment, ItemFort will attempt to deliver the purchased Virtual Item to the buyer's Steam account using the buyer's saved or submitted Steam trade URL.
A buyer is responsible for ensuring that:
- the Steam trade URL is correct;
- the Steam account can receive trades;
- Steam Guard is enabled where required;
- the Steam account is not trade banned, limited, locked, restricted, or subject to a trade hold;
- the buyer accepts or completes any required Steam trade action.
3. Failed Delivery
If delivery fails, ItemFort may:
- retry delivery;
- ask the buyer to update the Steam trade URL;
- ask the buyer to resend or accept a Steam trade;
- hold the order while Steam services recover;
- cancel and refund the order if delivery cannot reasonably be completed;
- provide another reasonable resolution where appropriate.
A failed first delivery attempt does not automatically entitle the buyer to a refund if the issue can reasonably be resolved.
4. Eligible Refund Circumstances
ItemFort may issue a refund in the following limited cases:
- the buyer was charged more than once for the same order;
- payment succeeded but ItemFort cannot deliver the Virtual Item after reasonable retry attempts;
- the purchased Virtual Item became unavailable before delivery;
- ItemFort cancelled the order before delivery;
- the transaction was confirmed to be unauthorized after investigation;
- a refund is required by applicable law.
5. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds are generally not available for:
- change of mind;
- buyer remorse;
- accidental purchase after checkout confirmation;
- dissatisfaction with market price;
- item price changes after purchase;
- decrease in item desirability or market demand;
- incorrect Steam account settings caused by the buyer;
- delayed acceptance of Steam trades by the buyer;
- Steam trade holds, restrictions, locks, or bans caused by the buyer account;
- Valve, Steam, or publisher actions after delivery;
- successful delivery followed by buyer losing access to the Steam account;
- successful delivery followed by Steam reversal, restriction, lock, or account action outside ItemFort's control.
6. Steam Locks, Reversals, and Publisher Actions
ItemFort is not responsible for Steam, Valve, or publisher actions, including:
- trade locks;
- trade reversals;
- account bans;
- inventory restrictions;
- item restrictions;
- API outages;
- item removals;
- market changes;
- game updates;
- publisher policy changes.
If a Virtual Item was successfully delivered and a third party later restricts, reverses, removes, locks, disables, or affects the Virtual Item, ItemFort is not required to refund the order unless required by law.
7. Refund Method
Original payment method only
Approved refunds are issued only to the original payment method unless otherwise required by law or the payment processor.
ItemFort does not provide refunds as buyer wallet credit or store credit because ItemFort does not operate buyer wallets, buyer balances, stored-value accounts, or store credit.
Refund processing time depends on Stripe, the card network, the buyer's bank, and the payment method used. Card refunds may take 5 to 10 business days or longer depending on the bank.
8. EU/UK Consumer Rights
If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with statutory digital content withdrawal rights, you may have additional rights.
At checkout, ItemFort may require you to expressly request immediate digital delivery and acknowledge that you lose your withdrawal right once delivery begins or is completed, where permitted by law.
Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you believe there is a problem with your order, contact ItemFort support first so we can investigate and resolve the issue.
This does not limit any rights you may have under card network rules or applicable law. However, ItemFort may suspend accounts, restrict purchases, contest disputes, and provide evidence to payment processors where a chargeback appears fraudulent, abusive, or inconsistent with confirmed delivery.
